The Owners
We started this company because my wife, Jenny, could not find the right style of furniture for our new home.  After traveling to New York and Florida to find the right pieces, we decided to open a store here in Delaware.

Somethings Unique has turned into a family adventure. Jenny's Swedish father Bo, mother Neta, sister Tess (who lives in France) and good friend Sally Prendergast quickly became involved to utilize their many talents and close connections with European vendors.

After long hours of deliberations, Jenny invented the name "Somethings Unique".  It was a stroke of genius because it summarizes our goal; which is:

TO PROVIDE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, WHILE OFFERING THE ABSOLUTE UNIQUE AND BEST PRODUCTS, WHETHER IT IS NEW PRODUCTION OR ANTIQUES!

We travel all over the world to find Unique furniture for you. Our favorite places are Italy, France, Spain and Sweden.

Our store opened on December 1st, 2004 in Greenville, DE.  It took over 5 months of renovations, with the standard construction delays, but we are very happy with the final result.  We have over 6.000 square feet, in two stories, fully packed with elegant furniture, antiques, fine reproductions and many other unique items for your home.

The store is not a just showroom; everything is for sale and available for same day delivery.  We have a large warehouse nearby with many other unique items we can bring in and fill the void left when a piece is sold.  This keeps the store changing so you will have to come back and see what new items have arrived!
